Mathletics includes well over 1,200 individual adaptive practice activities and eBooks for Foundation to Key Stage 4 students across Wales, including GCSE content aligned to the WJEC.
Our team of education publishers has created courses that specifically follow the Welsh Curriculum programme of study. Courses are broken down into topics that represent the major areas of focus within each year. Topics are aligned to Mathletics activities and include a pre- and post-assessment, all mapped to the requirements of the curriculum.
Don’t just take our word for it. Mathletics received the Best Whole Course Curriculum Content award at the BETT Awards 2015 in recognition of its alignment to the latest curriculum requirements – supporting Fluency, Reasoning and Problem Solving.
Our commitment to the curriculum is second to none. At both Primary and Secondary level, our publishing team has not only created powerful and targeted core activities but interactive, video and print materials too.
Couple that with our diagnostic reporting tools and you’ve got a targeted and individualised resource that is proven to be unsurpassed in the results it produces.

Mathletics Assessments for Wales
Powerful online assessments have been designed by our maths experts, with concepts and content aligned to the programmes of study within the Welsh Curriculum. Multiple assessments are available for each year level, making them perfect for benchmarking. Coupled with Mathletics’ powerful reporting for teachers these assessments are a dynamic tool to identify, target and close knowledge gaps. We call is Assessment for Learning.
Assessments can be assigned to students just like Mathletics content and are automatically marked. Learning gaps are identified, generating individual student learning pathways.
A recent independent research study into the efficacy of Mathletics recently found a proven advantage in external testing results.
The University of Oxford recently carried out a study of more than 13,000 schools to assess the impact of Mathletics on results in maths across final year Primary students.
The study found schools that made regular use of Mathletics did significantly better on a range of measures, compared to schools that did not use Mathletics.
Schools where students averaged just three Mathletics activities per week saw more pupils making at least 2 levels of progress, more pupils achieving at least a level 4 – plus greater numbers of pupils achieving a level 5 or 6.*
Teachers across the country love teaching with Mathletics
“The biggest classroom impact I have noticed is that students now enjoy maths. Students who are below year level now have plenty of opportunities to develop those core basic skills in math, while my advanced students are able to excel and explore a variety of new topics.”
“Mathletics has been a great success. As educators we have found it to be an invaluable assessment and supplemental tool. It gives the students at home access for extra support and makes learning maths enjoyable. We would highly recommend Mathletics to anyone thinking of using it in their school.”
“I love the versatility. I’m able to use it to teach a lesson or a concept, then turn around and assign the students an activity relating to that concept, and then further reinforce it with an activity from the ebooks. Great for a classroom that approaches maths from a wide variety of angles.”
Following your own course? No problem.
Besides the many ready-made courses available that are aligned to the Welsh Curriculum, Mathletics also includes a great Course Creator tool.
Creating a new course is a simple as drag and drop. Add, move or remove content from the full Mathletics library to suit your needs. Great if you want to follow your own path, or create a support or extension course. Once created, a custom course is available to every teacher in the school.
