Workshop 1: Maximise your Mathletics

New to Mathletics, need a refresher or simply looking to learn how to maximise the use of your subscription across your school? This FREE 60-minute workshop is the perfect session for you, focusing on using to Mathletics to captivate learners & reduce teacher workload.

  • Held in a school setting, hosted by your local Mathletics regional trainer.

  • Includes a tour through the key features of the Teacher Console including a look at the many tools and resources designed specifically to reduce teacher workload.

  • The workshop explores pupil and parental engagement, sharing tried and tested ideas to support this. Look at how Mathletics keeps pupils motivated and captivated to keep practising through rewards, engaging content and an ownership of the learning journey.

  • Discover how to set up learning groups, assign tasks as well as view and use student results data.

  • Explore the Mathletics eBook library as well as the open-ended rich learning tasks and online assessments.

  • This is a “hands-on” workshop, including a Q&A slot and time for teachers to get familiar with activities and the resources. All attendees will receive a training handout to use back at their own school, plus some Mathletics goodies!

Workshop 2: Developing a Growth Mindset

Is your school already working to develop and nurture Growth Mindsets in your pupils? This FREE and engaging workshop, builds on the work of Carol Dweck and Jo Boaler and will explore how to best use Mathletics to support pupils in developing a Growth Mindset and becoming confident maths learners.

  • Held in a school setting, hosted by your local Mathletics regional trainer.

  • Explores how the new Mathletics encourages all students to feel they ‘CAN’ do maths and gets pupils practising their learning.

  • Learn how teachers can ensure that all pupils are challenged and grow from learning from their mistakes. See how teachers can identify strengths and weaknesses and can provide targeted support.

  • Discover how to celebrate and promote progress and effort, using the reports and data available to staff.

  • All attendees will receive a training presentation to use back at their own school, plus some Mathletics goodies including a set of Mathletics Growth Mindset posters.

Meet Jane.

Jane Fisher is part of the team supporting our schools across Northern England & North Wales, as our regional training manager.

A former teacher herself, Jane has over 8 years’ experience of using Mathletics in her previous schools and brings this raft of knowledge and advice to the workshops she hosts.

Be a trailblazer and host your own Mathletics workshop 

Mathletics teacher workshops are always very popular and an excellent way to absorb all of the best practice from our experts and teachers across the country! Looking for a completely bespoke option? Why not host a workshop in your own school

  • Held in your own school, invite as many of your teaching and support team as you like!

  • Includes a motivational Mathletics assembly for your students, followed by a staff training session after school hours. Parents can also attend the assembly, and a short Q&A session can be provided following the assembly.

  • Hosted by your local Mathletics representative, the workshop is planned in advance to meet your school’s specific needs, following discussions with you and an analysis of the school’s Mathletics usage.

  • Schools will receive a training presentation to use during future inset training days, plus some Mathletics goodies!

Bespoke workshops are priced at £300 for unlimited attendees from the school. If your school is happy to share the training session with local Mathletics schools, or schools you work closely with, we’ll waive the fee as this enables us to support more schools.
